For every ticket sold to our IDAHTB screenings, we will work with All Out to provide a screening opportunity for members of our community in Ukraine, Eastern Europe, and Russia.
Firebird and All Out are working in collaboration to create special one-night screening events around the world to celebrate the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. The IDAHTB was created in 2004 to draw attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by the LGBTQIA+ community. The Day represents a major global annual landmark to draw the attention of decision makers, the media, the public, corporations, opinion leaders, local authorities, etc. to the alarming situation faced by people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.
Firebird is a story about the fight for love - even under the most oppressive conditions. Through our partners, All Out this event becomes a powerful call-to-action to support LGBTQIA+ communities under threat around the world, in particular the Ukraine, Eastern Europe, and Russia.
Visit All Out and see how else you can support their incredible work!
Firebird is available for screenings at film festivals, local cinemas, classrooms, clubs or special events. We hope that in booking Firebird you might be interested in potentially involving one or more of our non-profit partners so that we can deepen the dialogue around issues still facing the LGBTQ+ community and include those directly impacted and those involved in creating change.
